CLUB MEETING 30th MAY 2016
PRESIDENT CHRIS SUTTON welcomed members and guests Wayne Limbrick guest speaker and Sophie Hodge.
  • Busy weekend, visited Uluru. Attended Camel Cup, had a camel ride, rode bike around rock.
  • Workwise: Workshop Facilitator in Shepparton for Diversional Therapists.
  • Breakfast fast approaching,
  • Sponsor pin presented to Sieg Seiter for new member Dianne Hill.
  • Board meeting with incoming Board next week to consider disbursements and awards.
  • Wish Terry and Pam good travelling as they head north for 3 months

CHAIR: JEFF BUZZA:
Business update: Tracking well in new premises. Nominated for "Store of the Year" Award.
Business to focus on trade side.
House on market, moving into town.

GUEST SPEAKER:

Wayne Limbrick

In 2008 visited South Africa with family. After attending a conference went on safari to Kenya and Tanzania.
Decided to return and do something humanitarian.
Selected Umoja Orphanage in Kenya, and has visited several times.
To raise funds created concept of "Worlds Largest Dinner Party". First year had 50 parties over the world. In three years raised $35,000.
Then decided on an "East Coast Golf Classic" golfing from Shepparton to Bundaberg.
Unfortunately concept was not supported well by Rotary Clubs on planned schedule.
Have re-jigged the event with less venues with Golf Clubs support and seeking corporate sponsorship.
Event will be in May next year.
Wayne will return to Umoja in September next year, hopefully with funds raised.

Suggestions for other organisations to be approached by th Leader.
