CLUB MEETING 18th JANUARY 2016
PRESIDENT CHRIS SUTTON welcomed member and guests Stephen Mills. (After getting the microphone back from Frank!)
  • Chris commented it was nice to have a break, but now out of routine.
  • Condolences from the club to Jennifer Rodger on the passing of her father Lawrence Twitt.
  • ​Spent Christmas in Queensland with family.
  • Thanks to members for the great job they did in catering  for the BBQ with Lions last week and in particular  Geoff and Faye Holmes.
  • Rotary Leadership Institute 21st February.
  • ​Shire Australia Day Awards 21st January. Club nominated for Event of the Year for the Turia Pitt Breakfast.
  • ​Ride to Conference training. Also a fundraiser for Rotary Health.
  • ​No meeting next week, expectation members attend Australia Day BBQ Tuesday 26th. Need to commence at 7.15 to serve breakfast at 8am followed by ceremony at 9am
 
CHAIRMAN P.P. FRANK MALCOLM:
  • Showcasing Numurkah on 17th March, display and BBQ from club.
  • ​Bust time over Christmas with Christmas party with immediate family of 19, then to Gippsland for Christmas with Frank's family of 40, then to Melbourne for a 40th birthday, then Pam's family Christmas party.
  • Commenced new position with Shire in Economic Development and Planning.
  • ​Numurkah Economic Development draft plan received.
INDUCTION OF STEPHEN MILLS.​
President Chris inducted the club's newest member Stephen Mills, welcoming him into the Rotary Club of Numurkah.
 
 
 
CLUB ASSEMBLY:
President Chris then noted, with input from members, the activities for the next six months.
These were put on the white board by Lorraine Greenwood.
 
JANUARY:
  • Portsea Camp.
  • ​21st Shire Australia Day Awards
  • 25th No meeting.
  • 26th Australia Day BBQ. Commence at 7.15 to serve breakfast at 8am. Ceremony 9am.
FEBRUARY:​​
  • 13th Visiting medical students. Tour guides required.
  • 20th Lions Market - Orange juice machine, and raffle ticket selling.
  • 21st Rotary Leadership Institute
  • 22nd P.P. Mark McNamara to take meeting whilst Chris is away on Ride to Conference.
  • 26th - 28th District Conference.
  • 29th Past members - past partners night. Graham, Allen & Sieg to plan.

  • ​8th to 10th Art Show set up.
  • 11th to 14th Art Show.
  • 17th Showcasing Numurkah - display and BBQ.
  • 20th Pleasant Sunday Afternoon. Lunch at Bernie Ryan's new home near Stanhope.
  • 21st Les Lawrence Shield bowls night with Nathalia club. Out door lawn bowls.
  • 21st - 28th April Short term exchange student Zoe arrives

  • ​8/9/10 4WD Trip to Knockwood. Fully catered $125 per person.
  • 10th District Assembly.
  • 25th Anzac Day Gunfire Breakfast.
