PRESIDENT CHRIS SUTTON welcomed members and guests, Rotary Club of Nathalia and supporters for the annual Les Lawrence Shield competition. Numurkah hosted the event at the Numurkah Bowling Club with lawn bowls this year.
Numurkah regained the trophy this year with Marie O'Brien president of Nathalia RC handing the shield back to Hazel Boschetti to be presented to Chris Sutton president Numurkah RC.
Special welcome to our exchange student Zoe Kristensen who had just arrived from Germany.

Zoe comes from Soltau, Lower Saxony, Germany and will be with us for a short time.
Zoe will participate in the Rotary Safari to Central Australia from April 4th to 23rd before departing on 28th April.

The Numurkah & District Development Committee is hosting a public forum on Wednesday 30th March at Council Chambers at 7,30pm.
The forum will focus on: The Numurkah Economic Development Plan.
The Numurkah Development Plan is jointly funded by the Bendigo Bank and Moira Shire who engaged a consultant to undertake the project.
A Community Reference Panel of business and community leaders was established to provide insight and feedback to the consultant.
The plan aims to ensure that future residential growth, retail activity, commercial activity and industrial activity are considered in a manner that meets the needs of the local community and visitors to the town.

Kate Hodge and Julie spoke to 200 women at the Shepparton Soroptimist Women's Day Breakfast.
The Soroptimist club has donated $1000 to the orphanage in Kenya.
36th Annual Art & Craft Exhibition
The 36th Annual Art & Craft Exhibition was a resounding success with an excellent display of outstanding exhibits plus good attendance and sales during the weekend. Full report on website.
Pleasant afternoon at Bonshaw
President Chris organised a "recovery" and celebration of the very successful Art & Craft Exhibition at the home of Bernie Ryan "Bonshaw" near Stanhope. Excellent weather, venue, food and company made for a most enjoyable day.
