Jeff Buzza told of his trek, together with wife Gayle and three year old son Chris, along the Bicentennial National Trail in 1989.
The trail developed by R.M. Williams is the longest marked trail in the world stretching 5,330 kms from Cooktown in Queensland, through N.S.W. and the A.C.T. finishing at Healesville in Victoria.
The trail runs the length of the Great Dividing Range through national parks, private property and alongside wilderness areas. The trail follows old coach roads, stock routes, brumby tracks, rivers and fire trails.
Jeff, Gaye and Chris started south of Queensland finishing in ACT taking three months.
Three horses were used, two for riding and a pack horse.
Jeff commented on, not only the beautiful country, but the wonderful and generous people met along the way.
