DAVID GEDDES

 

 

David Geddes was the guest speaker at the Rotary Clubs meeting on 31st March.

Introduced by chairman Mark McNamara as a "Typical Australian Character", David in his own inimitable and humorous style recounted his life story.

Confessing to have knack for talking, he added, the skill is to be amusing without upsetting people.

Community life influenced by parents and growing up with people where community service was the "norm".

In demand for his compering and commentating skills, David is seen and heard at Agricultural Shows, Carols by Candlelight and many other community events.

Love of horses and interest in polo cross led to horse treks with pack horses in the high country.

Confines himself to 4WD Trips with Rotary nowadays.

Davis concluded with he poem "The Man From Snowy River".
