Gerry Green

Guest speaker at the 11th May meeting was Gerry Green a member of the Rotary Club of Numurkah from 1970 to 1981, serving as President in 1975.
Gerry recalled the club, its members and activities in the 1970's which grew from 30 to 60 in membership.
Projects undertaken were the installation of a BBQ by the train, painting the Guide & Scouts Halls, and develop a park on the north side of the creek.
Money making activities included Balloon Races, scrap metal drives, battery drives, Rose Festival raft races, Oktoberfest Balls, and Sportsmen's Dinners.
Gerry recounted humorous incidents that occurred during the years of his membership.
Gerry concluded by saying the Rotary Club of Numurkah has always been a great club.
