June & Bill Hewson were guest speakers at the club's meeting on Monday 5th September
June and Bill recently travelled to Blackbutt to visit June's only living cousin in Australia.
Flew from Melbourne to Brisbane and onto Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport Toowoomba.
Blackbutt, population of 250 in the South Burnett region, south east of Kingaroy.
European settlement began in 1842, with town named after Eucalyptus Pilularis, commonly known as Blackbutt.
Originally timber industry, now nob-existent.
Bunya Mountains National Park have 600 year old Bunya Palms up to 25 metres tall.
Visited many tourist attractions in the district.
