JULIE ANDREW:

Today, 30th April, is Malaria Awareness Day.

Reminder of facts presented by guest speaker Jen Parer.

Malaria is still endemic in 91 countries, and the cause of poverty and poor education. 210 million cases reported annually with 445,000 deaths, 70% being children.

Solomon Islands dropped from 70% infected to just 1% due to targeted programs such as Rotary Against Malaria (RAM).

Reminder -  P.P. SIEG SEITER last week donated $300 to RAM program and challenged club members to match the donation, in which case he will donate a further $200. Matching donation from members, not club funds. A notable act by Sieg.

P.E. STEPHEN MILLS:

Men's Health Night on 15th June 6pm in Numurkah Town Hall. Sponsorship towards guest speaker from Moira Shire, Royal Flying Doctor Service and Numurkah District Health.

Nathalia Rotary Show & Shine a huge success.

An office exec was interviewing a blonde for an assistant position, and wanted to find out a little about her personality.
"If you could have a conversation with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?"
"I'd have to say the living one."
