PRESIDENT REX SHIELDS welcomed members and guests to the Christmas Break-Up.
PRESIDENT'S REPORT:
President Rex thanked those in attendance for coming to this the final meeting for 2022.
Thanks to the ladies for the salad and sweets, Gary Phillips for the smoked salmon, Linda Watson for preparing the garden and Judy McDonald for opening up her house.
Donations for St Vinnes Christmas appeal for local families raised $565.
Reflecting on a tremendous year for the Rotary Club, the highlights being the Community Bus Project which captured the community imagination and resulted in a great response.
The Show Us Ya Wheels BBQ excellent result with monies earned channeled into assisting the flood relief at Kaarimba.
REPORTS
P.P. KATE HODGE presented certificates of appreciation to the gardeners who opened up their gardens for the Open Garden Weekend. Davis Roberts and Adrian Ford were apologies.

TO END WITH A SMILE
An old man calls his son and says, "Listen, your mother and I are getting divorced. Forty-five years of misery is long enough."
"Dad, what are you talking about?" the son screams.
"We can't stand the sight of each other any longer," he says. "I'm sick of her face, and I'm sick of talking about this, so call your sister and tell her," and he hangs up.
Now, the son is worried. He calls his sister. She says, "Like hell they're getting divorced!" She calls their father immediately. "You're not getting divorced! Don't do another thing. The two of us are flying home tomorrow to talk about this. Until then, don't call a lawyer, and don't file papers. DO YOU HEAR ME?" She hangs up the phone.
The old man turns to his wife and says, "Okay, they're both coming for Christmas and paying their own airfares.
