PRESIDENT'S REPORT:
Sunday ANZAC Day, breakfast BBQ at 5.15am and wreath laying at 10.30am service.
"Love Your Sister" - "On cloud nine", Bloody impressive", "Food was awesome", "Just terrific" were some of Jennifer's remarks.
Ticket Sales $6,940, Donations $300, Raffle $771.50 total income $8011.50. Love Your Sister merchandise sold $2,700. Expenses Hall Hire $300, Advertising Numurkah Leader $110.
Suggested motion for Board to consider that the club absorb the cost of the event so we can publicly announce 100% of monies received will be donated to Love Your Sister.

Tasal Ltd has 10 million salmon in water in Tasmania with prawns producing 6,000 tons a year.

JUDY McDONALD:
Desired to take up nursing, but not to be, staying home to care for sister. Change of direction with secretarial work, then another change to computerised book-keeping. Husband died of cancer at 57 years. Met Rex Shields, which was interesting and moved to Numurkah. Still doing books for son's business.
CHRIS HARDHAM:
Grew up in Katunga on a dairy farm. Graduated from Bendigo Teachers College, first school Knox Park, brand new but no resources, Yarragon Park before heading off overseas for 12 months. Returned to teaching at Heatherdale, met Ross and moved to Selby. Spent 9 years away from teaching with family, returning to Kalista then 141/2 years at Wandin Yallock before returning home. Relief teaching at Numurkah Secondary College retiring at the end of last year.
MICHELLE (SQUISH) DAVID:
Grew up in Western Suburbs of Melbourne, completed Year 12 in 1999, graduated with a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education. In 2005 came to Numurkah as Drama and Music teacher at Numurkah Secondary College, living the first 12 months with Dorothy & Peter Heard. Took 12 months leave returning 3 days and NSC and 2 days Guthrie Street Primary School. Then commenced 5 days at Numurkah Primary School, at present 4 days with 1 day studying Masters of Music Therapy.
Stressed the importance in having children read and engage in conversation. Music Therapy is a tool in mental health, youth and aged care.

Love Your Sister function a huge success, with all monies raised being donated to Love Your Sister - $10,711.50.

Umoja orphanage is struggling at the moment as due to COVID no volunteers or tourists, donations appreciated.
Soldier Settlement Project moving forward with Scott Dealy producing a printed copy of the map.

Open Garden Scheme planned for last weekend in October.

TO END WITH A SMILE
A man goes to the doctor, concerned about his wife's hearing. The doctor says, "Stand behind her and say something and tell me how close you are when she hears you." The man goes home, sees his wife in the kitchen, cutting carrots on the countertop. About 15 feet away he says, "Honey, what's for dinner?" Nothing. He gets halfway to her and repeats the same question. Nothing. Very concerned, he gets right behind her and asks again "What's for dinner?" She turns around and says "For the THIRD time, beef stew!"
