Annual combined meeting with the Lions club was a social bowls night at Numurkah Bowls Club, but due to inclement weather became just a pleasant social evening.
The Lions Club were the hosts and provided a tasty BBQ with salads and dessert.
President of Lions Neil Stewart welcomed all those present and thanked the Bowls Club, Lions social committee and Lions ladies.
President of Rotary John Watson thanked the Lions Club, and congratulated them on the evening.
On a sadder note, John advised the members that Rotarian Adrian Connolly had a fall and fractured his femur and is in hospital in Shepparton.
President John expressed delight at the occasion enabling the two clubs to meet socially.
John expressed the opinion that Numurkah needed a major project, not only involving Rotary & Lions but other organisations in the town working together to foster a greater community spirit.

HAIRCUT
A friend took her dog to the parlor for a haircut, and asked what it would cost. Being told that it would cost her $60, she was shocked.
"I only pay 50 bucks for my own haircut!"
The groomer replied,
"But you don't bite, do you?!"
