CLUB MEETING 20th JANUARY 2020
PRESIDENT LORRAINE GREENWOOD welcomed members to Club Assembly.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT:
- Update on Bill Hewson's health.
- $830 raised from combined meeting with Lions, to be donated to local CFA.
2020 PROGRAM JAN - JUNE
- Away dinners. possibly Cafe 3641 Strathmerton, Waaia Hotel, Clydesdale Hotel Katunga or CFA.
- District Conference March 20-22.
A.G. CHRIS SUTTON:
Ride to Conference Saturday 14th March. "4 Rivers Ride". 14 riders booked with registrations still open. A Numurkah Rotary project, BBQ will be used for catering.
ROSS HARDHAM:
Car Raffle, 2630 tickets sold raising $2630 for the club.
BATTERY COLLECTION:
Geoff Holmes has raised up to $2000.
SWIMMING POOL UPDATE:
Grant for $7500 for equipment. Shire to install picnic table setting.
SAVE THE KOALA RAFFLE
Sieg Seiter reported $14,500 raised. Raffle to be drawn on Sunday at Cobram
FUTURE EVENTS:
Australia Day BBQ, Newman Square Sunday 26th January. Breakfast at 8am Ceremony 9am. Rotary to provide BBQ. Volunteers required from 7.30am
P.P. JOHN WATSON:
Numurkah Community Plan BBQ Friday 7th February 6 - 7.30pm, Newman Square. Rotary to provide BBQ. Survey to be launched for a Numurkah Community Plan.
DROUGHT RELIEF PROJECT:
Information session on January 15th well attended.
P.P. John Watson reported on visit to selected shopkeepers on Thursday January 16th. 2 Supermarkets, 2 Pharmacies, 2 Butchers, Murray Goulburn, Home Hardware, Mensland.
Vouchers to be printed once all businesses signed up with launch mid-February, then vouchers to Rural Finance Counsellors.
P.P. Jacqui Phillips met up with Balwyn members at Wharing. Numurkah District Health Service will work with RFC through their own counsellors. Community events - Comedy Night. NDHS community engagement programs to reach as many as possible.
COSMETIC and THONGS DONATIONS FROM NTH. BALWYN CLUB:
15 boxes of cosmetics donated to NDHS and 5 boxes to Community House.
Thongs 120 pairs of suggested retail of $14.95. Suggested to be offered to Swimming Pool to sell at possibly $5 as a fund raiser,
P.P. STEPHEN MILLS:
Art Show raffle books distributed to members. Roster on Club Runner.
BUNNINGS BBQ:
Sunday 23rd February, 2 hour shifts from 8.30am to 4pm teams of 4 per shift. Fund raiser for Umoja Orphanage.
4 WD TRIP:
Ivan reported to take place on weekend 27th - 29th March. Site to be selected.
P.E. JENNIFER RODGER:
Samuel Johnson has confirmed Thursday 30th April as date for his visit. Town Hall booked, catering and arrangements to be decided.
