Geoff used his time to discuss with the club members about the committees that are represented in Numurkah Rotary.
He passed around a booklet outlining the roles and asked members to put down their names and talents that would align with any of the committees
The upcoming year is looking good moving forward from President Chris Hardham's year.
Geoff will not be the oldest President as he will be 85 and the President of Diamond Creek will be 86 yrs
Geoff has been approaching members to fill empty Board positions, and would like to put back in place the idea of having committees to assist new members and support the club's succession planning
Understanding the Constitution and the By-Laws is important
If there is no Secretary the club will cease to exist, there is a current vacancy for the upcoming year
Kate Hodge spoke about her idea of a great year is to retain members, have fun and have lots of projects that the members bring to the club to complete
As per Consumer Affairs we are required to have 9-11 Directors to be compliant with our Incorporation
Mark discussed about the cycles of involvement with Rotary, the ebbs and flows of how much people can offer or are willing to be involved. We have to be careful we don't lose the vitality/momentum of the club
Mark has approached Linda Boyd to take over Club Service next year
Jacque Phillips mentioned that the importance of having guest speakers regularly because it promotes vitality and promotes Rotary to the community and keeps the members engaged with what's happening locally and outside of our area.

Sue passed around Umoja reports on Alare and how well he is doing at school
Alare has been in hospital recently because he had contracted a skin disease that is difficult to treat
Email from Wayne Limbrick about seeking support from the club to support the online auction to raise USD100,000 to complete the brick fence around the houses at Umoja
Clubs could also donate money to the project
Wayne is keen to club to the club to update members on the project

Next Thursday from 07:30 BBQ #2, pick up meat from Geoff's
Next Friday #3 still needing volunteers 12:30 - 2pm on both days and 4:30 till 7pm for dinner, still empty spots to fill
