Members of Numurkah Rotary Club staged the club’s Ninth Environmental and Heritage Discovery Tour (4WD) to the Victorian Alps region raising funds for future Rotary Projects.
Accompanied by some intrepid followers, the aim of the trip is to have a very social, enjoyable, stress free, time camping in the Victoria Alps, touring around the area chosen and communing with the natural environment.
Leaving on the Friday morning we set out, and there was an end to the rain when we arrived at our camp site where we set up and enjoyed the campfires, company and the great food provided by Rotarians over the next two days.
The tour this year was named the Boomerang Tour as each track we took seemed to result in us having to retrace our path due to slippery conditions, avoiding 200 motorcyclists or overgrown tracks.
This event continues to show Rotary at work at its’ convivial best. Thank you to all who assisted with this most successful rotary project.
