Geoff Lugg
- Geoff loved art in high school but was told he was not imaginative enough and to find another interest
- Geoff gave up on the idea and joined the Police Force after graduating and ended up serving in Nunawading
- During his spare time whilst on the Force he started carving knomes for the local nursery
- They were very popular
- Left the Police Force due to nerves and anxiety (now recognised as PTSD)
- Became the Regional Manager for Cheap as Chips, main base was Shepparton so the family moved from Melbourne to Numurkah for ne job 13 years ago
- They have made lots of good friends
- Geoff's wife Carol joined St George's church and other community organisations which Geoff joined as well
- In 2016 he retired and they did a road trip to the tip of Australia which was a life changing experience
- They saw lots of Indigenous art
- His favourite artist was Tommy Crow
- Geoff then took up art again, painting emus, buffalo and camels
- He turned his garage into an art studio on his return to Numurkah
- Started selling paintings at Tiffany's Bakery and online
- He has sold over 200 paintings online and 100 in Tiffany's to date
- First entered the Numurkah Art Show in 2022and has entered every year since
- Each year has won a prize and sold aet works
- The cost to an artist is great, a $500 artwork can cost (framing $150, canvas $30, paint $10, pack & send $50)
- Paintings have been sold nationally and internationally (USA, Canada and France)
- Geoff has also completed commission sales
