grew up in Beechworth (6 generations)
family history of logging
nurse by trade (trained at GV Health, went on to do A&E nursing and midwifery
wife is also a nurse
Persistence -
sometimes the right thing to do is stressful
had to work hard to get where I am
recently completed a PhD
It's OK to NOT know the answers -
coping with fearing failure & coping with uncertainty
had to learn to be a leader
Relationships are everything -
The Power of choice -
with choice comes sovereignty over life

Recently travelled to the US and toured two health Services

You've got to think outside the box to solve problems - 'surf lifesaving' initiative helped implement a 12 step 'falls prevention' strategy in aged care which reduced falls to a ten-year low
