- All animals are placed into personal homes of volunteer foster careers
- Steph is also a teacher at SMOTA
- Steph has fostered 50 dogs since
- GV PA is a not for profit, no government funding, only donations and grants
- All fostered animals have no time limits
- Some stay a couple of weeks, some 6 months
- Potential new foster carers have to fill out a form and can choose what type of animal they are willing to choose to foster
- Nathalia Boarding Kennels are an integral part of GVPA with assistance with doggie daycare and holidays
- They supply a doggy daycare bus to pick up from carers
- Consider joining as a foster carer or becoming an adoptee
- There is an application process for potential adoptees to match potential
- Costs are age related $700 for puppies, $500 for older than 5 yrs
- Meet and greet at property of new home is essential
- Vet bills are covered by the shelter and large dog food companies supply dog food for the foster carers
