Welcome

On 3rd November 2025 the Rotary Club of Numurkah launched it's new Satellite Club - Broken Creek Connect.

The induction of nine inaugural members were welcomed into Rotary during the ceremony: Jim Simpson (Chairman), Anthony Ciavarella (Secretary), Anthea Whitfield, Charlotte Andrew, Sophie Hodge, Camille Montgomery, Simon Quarrell, Tony Cavallaro, and Ian Bell. 

Broken Creek Connect is designed to attract younger members — professionals, young parents, and university students aged 18 to 40 — who may find traditional Rotary structures difficult to commit to. The club will emphasize flexibility, social connection, and project-driven initiatives, aligning friendships and skills with purposeful community projects in the Nathalia, Waaia and Numurkah areas.

Further inductions to Rotary included Jamie and Gareth Adams on 1st June 2026 and Emily Tymensen, Thomas Morris and Lauren Cobbledick on 17th August 2026.

The club has been active assisting the Nathalia Easter Carnival, promoting Domestic Violence Awareness with purple chairs, Christmas in July and a Community Night Out in Numurkah, with plans to take over the organisation of the Nathalia New Years Eve Carnival.
